Dr. Al-Ejeh is an ARC Future Fellow, a Senior Research Fellow and heads the Personalised Medicine Team at the Cancer Division of the QIMR Berghofer MRI. He was awarded his Ph.D. in 2005 from the University of Wollongong (NSW) and undertook his first post-doctoral position at the Royal Adelaide Hospital/Hanson Institute to undertake a commercially-funded project. Dr. Al-Ejeh joined QIMR Berghofer in 2010 a senior research officer in the Signal Transduction Laboratory. Dr. Al-Ejeh has strong track record in cancer cell biology and the development of targeted therapies. His track record includes three patents in addition to peer-reviewed publications. He has been developing diagnostic approaches and targeted therapies against aggressive cancers including triple negative breast cancer, pancreatic adenocarcinoma, and glioblastoma and others.
